Lebanon Tour 7 Nights  /  8 Days

Day 1: 
Arrival to Beirut International Airport.

Arrival, meet, assist, & transfer to World Class Vacation Club at Sun City Resort and Check -in. Free day to rest and meet the group members. Welcome Dinner in the resort restaurant.

Day 2:
Jeita Grotto Dog River, & Harissa

After breakfast, at 9:30, proceed to a full day tour to visit the Dog River, for its commemorative inscriptions that have been left behind by conquering armies between 2nd millenium BC. And 1949 AD. Continue to Jeita, a beautiful natural wonder, and best caverns in the Middle East. Transfer by cable car to the caverns, which consist of 2 parts, upper & lower galleries. Proceed along the coastal road to Jounieh; take the Teleferique up to the outstretched arms of the Virgin of Lebanon in Harissa - a Breathtaking view of the bay.
Return to the Resort and overnight.

Day 3: 
Byblos & Tripoli

After Breakfast, at 9 :30, proceed to discover a town that goes back 7000 years; and is one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited, Byblos. Explore the old part of the town on foot, starting from the fisherman's harbor, leading uphill towards the church of St. John the Baptist and souks. Lunch.
Continue to the north to visit Lebanon's 2nd largest city, Tripoli. that goes back to the 14th century BC. Visit sites from the Mamluke era, colorful souks, hammams, khans, mosques & Crusader's Fortress of Raymond de Saint Gilles.
Return to the Resort and overnight

Day 4: 
Free day.


Day 5: 
After breakfast, half day free at Leisure, for sun bathing and fun. Check out from the resort. Transfer to Beirut and check in to the chosen hotel. In the afternoon, half day city tour of the renovated Beirut Central District. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: 
Baal beck & Ksara

Cross mount Lebanon range and drive through Bekaa Plain towards Baal beck, 85 Km from Beirut, to visit Lebanon's greatest Roman Treasure, counted among the wonders of the ancient world. The site includes the temples of Jupiter, Bacchus & Venus, with the remarkable great court & Hexagonal Forecourt. Drive to Ksara Caves for wine tasting & lunch, with a stop in Anjar, to visit this historical Omayyad site, located in the southern part of the plain.

Day 7: 
Free day


Day 8:
Breakfast at the hotel then free day for leisure. Transfer to the airport for the onward flight.

Optional Excursions:

Cedars & Qadisha Valley
Drive through some of the most beautiful mountain landscapes in Lebanon, where the Qadisha valley is, and the red roofed Bcharri, the main town of the valley. Drive another 4 Km to visit the Cedars of the Lord, where some trees are over 1000 years old. Lunch in the Cedars Back to Bcharri to visit the museum of Gebran Khalil Gebran, the internationally famous writer & poet, then visit the Qadisha valley which is filled with caves & rock shelters inhabited fro the 3rd millennium BC. Visit cave chapels, heritages and monasteries cut from rock.

Beiteddine & Shouf Mountain
Drive to Damour, a small town, 17 Km south of Beirut, and Climb another 26 Km east, passing through the charming town of Deir el Qamar ( the residence of Lebanese governors during the 16th Century), to the palace of Beiteddine. The palace is the best example of the early 19th century Lebanese architecture, built over 30 year period by Emir Bashir. Visit the palace complex and its museums (costume & weapons of the era) as well as a fine collection of well-preserved Byzantine mosaics.

Sidon & Tyr
The founder of Carthage & greatest of the Phoenician city-state. Tyre, 83 Km south of Beirut, was declared as a World Heritage site, for its historical importance. Visit the the old Phoenician island city ,the colonnades, public baths, mosaic streets and a rectangular arena and the Roman necropolis hippodrome.
Drive back along the coastal road to visit another important Phoenician town, Sidon, with its Sea Castle and old covered Souks. On the city's northern gate, the Phoenician Temple complex of Echmoun will be visited, before returning back.
